The Pier Street Farmers Market is a seasonal institution in Campbell River, drawing patrons and vendors from around the Island every Sunday from May to September from 10:00am till 2:30pm. It is a “must see” for anyone visiting the area.

Welcome to the Market!
The Pier Street Farmers Market and Arts Fair is held every Sunday from 10:00am until 2:30pm (first Sunday in May until the last Sunday in September).

The market hosts vendors from the community and surrounds which boast a variety of homemade wares, arts and crafts, and fresh produce. The relaxed and friendly market vibe is complemented by live music, hot food and a vibrant atmosphere. With over 4,000 visitors attending weekly, the market is truly a community affair with attractions that appeal to all ages.

The market is further surrounded by the breathtaking views of Georgia Straight and local attractions including; Fisherman’s Wharf, Discovery Fishing Pier, the Discovery Passage Aquarium and the Maritime Heritage Centre. Hours can be spent perusing the shops along the rejuvenated Pier Street or relaxing on the pocket beach located just steps from the Market. A trip to the Market isn’t complete without watching local fishermen on the Pier and enjoying a hugely oversized ice cream from the concession. With an abundance of activities in close proximity, all members of the family are sure to be entertained.

Some Market History
After the successful start in 2003, the Pier Street Association applied for and received a grant from Community Futures, which allowed the association to invest in a mobile music stage which continues to entertain guests today.

The Pier Street Association and the Farmers Market Committee would like to thank Community Futures and all involved who granted the seed funding in order to make this Pier Street Farmers Market a successful venture and a valuable community asset. Several new businesses have spun off the Farmers Market since it started. The market is open to Community groups for a special rate or for free.

Any proceeds raised from the Farmers Market go into Pier Street beautification projects.
